Afghanistan at the South Asian Games

Afghanistan is 8th Nation to take part in South Asian Games. It took first appearance in 2004, where it won 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 28 Bronze medals. In 2006 Afghanistan gave much more improved performance and won 6 Gold, 7 Silver and 16 Bronze medals. Afghanistan has shown big improvement in the only 2 games it participated. Bhutan at the South Asian Games

Bhutan till now won 2 Gold medals, one in 1999 & 1nother in 2004. A total of 50 medals is won by kingdom of Bhutan. In 1991 & 1993 they failed to win even a single medal in South Asian games. Maldives at the South Asian Games

Maldives isn't have good time in South Asian games. Till now if we calculate total number of medals won by Maldives its count is just 7. 1 Silver and 6 Bronze. Maldives failed to open its account 6 times out of 10, and did not won single medal after 1999. Their best performance was in 1991 Colombo games where they won their only Silver medal. Bangladesh at the South Asian Games

Bangladesh performed well when ever the Games held in Dhaka. They won 9 Gold in 1985 and 11 Gold in 1993 and yet again in 2010 Bangladesh has to host these games again. Bangladesh best performed in 1993 where they won 11 Gold, 19 Silver and 32 Bronze medals. Bangladesh total medals telly reached 475 till now. Nepal has smooth run in South Asian Games, till now they won a Total of 33 Gold medals, 89 Silver and 244 Bronze medals. They gave their best performance in 2006 where they won 9 Gold medals. India at the South Asian Games

Undoubtedly India is the Best country of South Asian games. India won in all 809 Gold medals which is higher then total medals won by 5 countries. Sri Lanka and Pakistan are only the countries which over comes this mark in total number of medals they won till date in South Asian games. Sri lanka won 821 total medals and Pakistan won 836 medals in total. If we see India's total medals telly, India won 809 Gold, 497 Silver and 274 Bronze which in total is 1580 medals. Sri Lanka has good run in South Asian games till now. They won total of 169 Golds, 253 Silver and 399 Bronze which will take their total telly upto 821 medals. Their best performance was in 1991 where they won 44 Gold medals. In term of total medals their best performance was in 2006 where they won total of 176 medals.
